The original background image was deleted due to an LCD monitor upgrade
What was the inspiration for the 'former' background image? *image example* Once upon a time, I wanted to create an image for the background of this web site that represents our current times (without the gray watermark). The image created, started out as 5 solid colors, circles and squares. hen the idea began to merge together resulting in a representation of our planet. Starting from the entire bottom, is us. All the squares represent people. Our lives are, if you think about it squared into everything we own and what we drive, we live in squared houses, squared neighborhoods on a grid, and even our minds are compartmentalized in squares.
The next phase is our atmosphere, representing the mid section just above the line separating the squares. This is global warming, etc. Notice the left near middle section of the image. There's what we as a society are doing to our upper atmosphere. We're slowly burning holes in the ozone layer. As we evolve industrially, we pollute. Next the upper top portion of the image is the earth, undoubtedly trying to repair itself. Represented in blue, faded white circles along with splashes of solarized yellow. Lastly, notice the far top right side of the image. The slightly peeled back portion represents, quite simply, change. We will somewhere along the way be faced with radical and drastic global wide change. Whether we are ready or not and whether we are still on this earth, or not. Change is inevitable. Question is, are we ready?
